Look at the Lousy Day We Chose to Work Cows!

So on Wednesday it was 90 degrees and HOT, so we put off working cows and did some on the 80 degree day on Thursday. Then we came to do the last 40 calves on Friday, and got frozen!

This is Reid and Roberto trying to round up the cows.

Reid came across a couple of jawbones and told me to take a picture!

I was just about to get exasperated, when dad came over the hill with a bale!

The cows ALWAYS follow the bale!

Can you spot Roberto? He can't find the calves, I wonder why!

Riley and I were officially FREEZING!

Snake!

We found a weird snake. It looks similar to our garter snake.

It had red stripes instead of green.

Ronan thought holding it was cool.

Ryder didn't........but he was better than Rayden, who wouldn't even come close because there is a small(tiny in fact)possibility that it could be a poisonous water snake!  We let it go in our pond, and I can assure you it NEVER tried to bite any of us!

Bethany Hamilton

This is Bethany Hamilton, she is an amazing young woman that had her arm bitten off by a shark!

I think she lost 60% of her blood before they made it to the emergence room!
She IS a living miricle!
But, she worked hard and now she is a proessional surfer!

Look for her movie, it's amazing!

Owls

After I posted here on my blog yesterday I saw out the window a little bird. So I went out and found two little owls! This one had been in the weeds under a tree, but when I came out  scared it away!

This is the one I saw from the window, sound asleep. They were up kinda late don't you think?

So sorry I haven't posted very much recently, I've been helping my dad move cows, mowing, watering trees, and doin chores! I geuss the summer is already flying by! I've taken the boys to the swiming pool twice, and had a playday with Riley there too! I am gona start studying for my written test for my farm permit soon(as soon as Riley finds his book, so i can use it!) LOL. I LOVE this time of year!

Therefore as God's chosen  people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. On Sunday we went to my grandma's house. several different cousins were there.

Spray Paint + A Turtle

Rhett and Rayden found this cute litttle baby turtle down at the river near our house.

Then all the boys (Mostly the big ones) wanted to spray paint it.

Riley choose (OF COURSE) orange spray paint.



It is supposed to keep them from being hit on the road, but........

The poor turtle can't even blend in! It had a natural camouflage, before the boys found it!
I hope they don't "find" me!!!!

We Went To The "Beach"

So we pull up to our pond, and here are some ducks that I have never seen before around here. Does anyone know what kind they are? I can't find my bird-book!!:)
